I arrived at the old apartment at around 7:40am and there were people already waiting to buy stuff. It may have been because of the newspaper ad I placed that said "Greatest Garage Sale EVER!". I threw my boxes out on the patio and lawn and sold quite a bit in the first hour.

Fergus was bored but made the best of it.

I sold a LOT of my junk and I haven't done an official count but minus the parking ticket and the ad in the paper I think I made about $200. *woot* Now I have some spending money for when I go down to LA. :)
After everyone left I finished cleaning the apartment. Cleaned the microwave, stove, fridge, dishwasher, kitchen sink and then set about mopping the floors. By the time I got home I was beyond tired. Took a quick bath and had a snooze on my lovely new and very long couch with my favourite cuddle partner, Fergus.
What a long day. Will someone please make me dinner? I'm too tired.
"And Fergus is NOT for sale."
ReplyDeleteSorry about yer ticket. Isn't life just SO like that?!
Congrats on selling some of yer shwag, Sarah. Good job!
I'm glad to see there is someone else who really cleans up the old place before officially clearing out. I always do, as a courtesy, but I know A LOT don't. I've moved into some of those places. Blech!
ReplyDeleteGlad your sale was a success. Are you all settled in the new place now?
